Korean mountain ash (lat. Sorbus alnifolia) is a deciduous tree species belonging to the Rosaceae family. Originating from East Asia, including Japan, Korea, China, and the Russian Far East, the plant naturally thrives in mixed woodland environments. Due to its natural habitat, the tree is well-adapted to moderate climates and shows significant tolerance to environmental stressors, making it a viable candidate for cultivation in various temperate zones.
The botanical characteristics of this species include distinct alder-like leaves, which give the plant its scientific name. The tree typically grows to a moderate height of 10–15 meters.
