Dense tansy

Dense tansy (Tanacetum densum) is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Asteraceae family. Renowned for its distinctive, silver-toned, finely divided foliage, it has become a staple for gardeners looking for durable and aesthetically striking plants for dry, sunny environments.

Originating from the mountainous regions of Turkey, this species has evolved to thrive in harsh, rocky terrains with poor soil quality. This evolutionary background makes the plant exceptionally well-suited for xeriscaping and sustainable garden designs where water conservation and low maintenance are top priorities.

Botanically, the plant forms a low-growing, dense mat of silver-grey leaves that feel velvety to the touch.
