Dune germander

Dune germander (Teucrium dunense) is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Lamiaceae family. Known for its ability to thrive in challenging environments, this species is specifically adapted to coastal landscapes and sandy soil compositions.

The plant originates from the coastal regions of Europe, where it is commonly found in dunes and areas with loose, sandy substrates. Its natural distribution is linked to regions with temperate climates and high exposure to maritime winds, making it a specialized xerophyte.
