Tillandsia myosura is a specialized perennial plant belonging to the Bromeliaceae family. The species originates from the mountainous regions of South America, specifically in Bolivia and Argentina. These environments are characterized by high altitude and fluctuating humidity levels, which have forced the plant to evolve a slow-growing habit and high efficiency in water retention, making it a highly resilient specimen in controlled environments.

Botanically, the plant presents a distinct rosette form with silver-scaled, thin, and elongated leaves that provide a striking textural appeal.
