The Riparia-Rupestris grape (a hybrid of Vitis riparia x Vitis rupestris) is an interspecific hybrid of American grape species belonging to the Vitaceae family. This culture was primarily developed for use as a phylloxera-resistant rootstock. It effectively combines the high soil adaptability characteristic of V. rupestris with the excellent wood maturation properties inherent in V. riparia.

The origins of these species lie in the regions of North America, where they naturally grow along riverbanks and on rocky slopes.
