The primary host for this viral infection is common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris). The virus relies heavily on specific insect vectors to bridge the gap between infected and healthy plants, making the ecology of the vector a crucial component of the disease's overall epidemiology.
Common symptoms of infection include severe curling and deformation of the upper leaves, which often show chlorotic patterns.
