The primary hosts for this virus are plants within the Solanaceae family, most notably tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants. These crops are highly susceptible, and infection often leads to rapid decline in plant health. Weeds growing nearby can act as alternative hosts, maintaining the viral reservoir in the environment even when main crops are not present.
Symptoms of this infection are distinct and include intense interveinal chlorosis, yellowing of leaves, curling, and abnormal leaf thickness.
