Begomovirus solanumphilippinense is a viral plant pathogen belonging to the Geminiviridae family. It is a DNA virus that significantly impairs the growth and metabolic capacity of susceptible host plants by integrating into the plant's biological pathways.
The primary hosts for this virus are members of the Solanaceae family, including tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants.
