Cotton veinal is a viral disease affecting cotton plants, characterized primarily by the yellowing of leaf veins. As an agronomical challenge, it directly interferes with the plant's vascular function, leading to significant physiological stress and hindering normal development.

This disease specifically targets Gossypium species, causing systemic infection. It is particularly problematic in tropical and subtropical regions where environmental conditions favor the proliferation of insect vectors throughout the growing season.

The primary symptom is the chlorosis of the veins, which creates a distinct pale or yellowish pattern against the green lamina of the leaf.
