Diodia crinivirus (Crinivirus diodiae) is a plant virus belonging to the Crinivirus genus, family Closteroviridae. This pathogen infects the vascular system of the host plant, interfering with nutrient translocation and leading to systemic infection that progressively weakens the plant throughout its life cycle.

The virus primarily targets species within the Rubiaceae family, such as Diodia virginiana. In agricultural environments, it serves as a risk factor for neighboring crops, as weeds often act as asymptomatic reservoirs, maintaining the virus in the environment between growing seasons.

Symptoms of infection typically involve distinct chlorotic patterns, interveinal yellowing of leaves, leaf curling, and stunted development. These signs reflect the physiological stress imposed by the virus, which severely impacts the plant's photosynthetic capacity and overall biomass production.

Transmission of the virus is mediated by insect vectors, primarily whiteflies (Aleyrodidae).
