Tobacco streak virus (TSV) is a plant pathogenic virus classified under the genus Ilarvirus. It is recognized for its broad host range and potential to cause significant economic losses in various agricultural sectors globally, infecting both dicot and monocot species.

The virus impacts a wide variety of crops, including tobacco, tomatoes, sunflower, soybeans, and several legume species. Its ability to infect diverse botanical families makes it a perennial challenge for field management and crop protection specialists worldwide.
