The primary host for this pathogen is the plum tree (Prunus domestica). The virus can infect various cultivars of stone fruits, potentially causing substantial economic losses in both commercial orchards and home gardens if not managed correctly.
Symptoms of the infection typically appear as chlorotic spots, mosaic patterns on leaves, and leaf curling. Furthermore, affected trees often exhibit stunted growth, premature leaf drop, and poor fruit quality.
