Oryzavirus is a genus of plant viruses within the Reoviridae family, known for causing severe viral diseases in cereal crops, specifically rice. As an obligate parasite, the virus induces a systemic infection that compromises the physiological processes of the host plant, leading to significant physiological stress.

The primary host for this virus is cultivated rice (Oryza sativa).
