Cucurbita yellow mosaic virus (Potyvirus cucurbitaflavitesselati) is a viral pathogen classified within the Potyvirus genus. As an obligate parasite, it disrupts the host plant's internal systems, specifically impacting photosynthetic efficiency and leading to stunted plant development.

This virus primarily infects plants belonging to the Cucurbitaceae family. Major host crops include cucumbers, zucchini, squash, pumpkins, and melons. The impact of the disease is significant in both home gardens and commercial agricultural production, often causing severe reductions in fruit quality and yield.

Symptoms typically manifest as yellow-green mosaic patterns on the leaves, often accompanied by leaf curling and deformation. As the infection progresses, the plant exhibits growth retardation.
