Potyvirus tuberosiflavi is a viral pathogen affecting potato crops, characterized by systemic infection and specific symptoms in tuber tissues. The primary host for this pathogen is the potato plant. The virus thrives within the host's vascular system, ensuring its persistence throughout the growing cycle. Infected tubers are the primary reservoir of the disease, allowing it to survive through winter storage and propagate the infection in subsequent cropping seasons.
