Sadwavirus fritillariae is a viral plant pathogen that primarily affects the Fritillaria genus. The primary hosts of this virus are bulbous plants, specifically fritillarias. The virus persists in the bulbs, which means that once an individual plant is infected, the entire daughter bulb population produced through division is likely to carry the pathogen, leading to long-term issues in ornamental gardens and nurseries.
