Anthriscus mosaic virus (Waikavirus anthrisci) is a plant pathogenic virus belonging to the Waikavirus genus, Secoviridae family. It primarily targets plants within the Apiaceae family, causing systemic infections that can significantly affect the development and yield of susceptible botanical species.
The virus impacts the vascular tissues of the plant, leading to physiological stress. By hijacking cellular machinery, the pathogen diverts nutrients from the host, which often results in stunted growth and a general decline in the plant's overall health and vigor throughout the growing season.
