A study published in Scientific Reports found that combining 200 ppm naphthalene acetic acid with 300 ppm salicylic acid helped cucumber seedlings tolerate 80 mM NaCl salinity better than untreated stressed plants.
According to the paper, the combined treatment improved leaf area, plant height and root activity, raised vitamin C, soluble sugars and protein content, and boosted antioxidant enzyme activity while reducing electrolyte leakage and lipid peroxidation.
