Drought and floods create perfect storm for feral goats, pigs and camels to take over South Australia

ABC Rural reported that drought in South Australia and flooding in northern Australia have created conditions for feral goats, pigs and camels to spread, increasing pressure on pastoral land and water.

Quondong Station, which produces merino wool, said feral goats are consuming feed and damaging land. The report also noted that feral pigs were previously estimated to cause a $106 million impact on the agriculture sector, while some captured goats are being sent to Monarto Safari Park as lion feed.
