Sineglazka

Brachycoma «Syneglazka» – a hardy annual that is often grown as a perennial in warm regions. The bushes reach a height of 25‑30 cm and have strong branching, allowing them to form dense crowns consisting of numerous inflorescences. The flowers resemble daisies: tubular central flowers are surrounded by ray petals, which can be blue, purple, red, or yellow. From mid-June until the first frosts, the plant blooms profusely, creating bright heads with a diameter of 3‑3.5 cm.

For successful cultivation, brachycoma prefers sunny spots and fertile, loose soils with good drainage. When sowing seeds, they are gently pressed into the surface of sandy soil without covering with earth, and after germination, they are covered with glass until the first true leaves appear. Irrigation should be moderate: the plant does not tolerate waterlogging and soil saturation, so it is important to maintain moisture at a level sufficient for growth but not allowing fungal diseases to develop.

Care for «Syneglazka» includes regular pinching of the tops to stimulate branching and the formation of a dense crown, as well as the removal of wilting inflorescences to extend the flowering period. For feeding, complex mineral fertilizers are used once a month. Reproduction is possible both from seeds and cuttings, which allows for quickly replenishing losses from pests – whiteflies, snails, and spider mites. Thanks to its drought resistance and hardy nature, brachycoma easily fits into alpine slides, flower beds, borders, and container plantings, giving them a bright color accent.
