Kentucky bluegrass variety "Alicja" from the Polish breeding center Malopolska Hodowla Roslin-HBP is a high-tech breeding product focused on creating durable coatings for intensive use. A key feature of the variety is high grass stand density, achieved through active tillering and the development of a powerful root system.

Biological markers and functionality

• Dark green pigment: High chlorophyll concentration ensures a rich color even in limited sunlight, preserving the site's aesthetics throughout the growing season.
• Immunity: MHR-HBP breeders focused on genetic resistance to dominant cereal fungal diseases, which drastically reduces the need for fungicide treatment.
• Sports potential: Due to the elasticity of the shoots, "Alicja" tolerates mechanical stress excellently, quickly restoring structure after damage.

The technological seeding rate is 20–25 g/m². This density allows for the formation of optimal plant spacing, where each specimen receives sufficient nutrients and moisture to form a dense sod. When designing sports fields or quality lawns, "Alicja" serves as a reliable foundation capable of withstanding both low mowing and freezing cycles typical of the Central and Eastern European climate zone.
