Esca

Esca is a perennial grass species known for its high drought and frost resistance, as well as its ability to quickly form a dense lawn with a robust root system. In the first year after sowing, the plant concentrates energy on root development, ensuring long-term stability of the turf; a full green coverage appears by the second season. Thanks to this structure, Esca is perfect for sports fields, children's play areas, and park territories where a durable and wear-resistant lawn is required.

The variety is distinguished by its high oil content, making it a valuable raw material for the food and pharmaceutical industries. When grown in dry climates, Esca demonstrates excellent resistance to diseases, including fusarium and powdery mildew, as well as to pests. Regular watering and fertilization promote faster growth and increase yield.

To sow Esca, the soil must be prepared: remove weeds, level and loosen the area, and ensure moderate moisture. Optimal planting density ensures a strong root system and high plant viability. After planting, regular watering and mowing at a height of 4–5 cm is recommended to maintain a dense coverage. Thanks to its frost resistance and drought tolerance, Esca is capable of growing for 15–20 years without significant loss of quality.
