Description
Tall Fescue variety "Markus" (Poa pratensis) – is a high-quality lawn culture produced by Euro Grass Breeding GmbH & Co.KG from Germany and meets the requirements of GOST R 52325‑2005. Seeds are packed in 20 kg bags; to obtain a dense cover, about 2 kg per 100 m² is required, making them suitable for both commercial sowing and small plots.
The variety is characterized by dark-green leaf color, varying from short to medium sizes with weak bunchiness. Leaves are smooth on stems and softer on shoots, giving the lawn a pleasant appearance. Dense turf and strong bushiness ensure resistance to mechanical loads: tall fescue withstands intensive trampling and recovers quickly after damage from machinery or people passing by thanks to its strong rhizome.
"Markus" possesses high decorative value and is suitable both for sports fields and for decorative lawns in urban greening. The plant is resistant to most diseases, although under wet conditions fungal rot may occur; proper care and fertilization allow avoiding serious problems with pests. Seeds are sown in late summer or early spring at a depth of 2–5 cm, and after germination, regular watering and periodic mowing are provided to maintain a dense cover.
Thus, tall fescue variety "Markus" is a reliable, highly decorative lawn culture with excellent resistance to loads and diseases, suitable for a wide range of landscape projects.
