Mashenka

Mashenka is a type of chamomile obtained through selection based on the Latin name Matricaria recutita L. The variety is distinguished by abundant flowering and a well-developed system of lateral shoots that branch up to the third and fourth orders, ending in inflorescences. Thanks to this structure, the plants quickly reach the fruiting stage: from germination to the beginning of flowering takes 35‑42 days, and full seed maturity takes 100‑105 days.

In agricultural practice, Mashenka is used as a medicinal plant and a natural means of fighting plant diseases. It has anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, which increases the resistance of sown crops to stress factors and contributes to the improvement of the overall health of the plant population.

The variety is characterized by high yield: dried inflorescences provide 8‑12 c\/ha (biological up to 15‑20 c\/ga), and seeds – 1,0‑1,5 c\/ga. The mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 0,040 to 0,50 g, there are 13‑16 million seeds in one kilogram, and one plant can provide up to 5000 seeds. The essential oil yield reaches 0,9‑1,6 %, and its main components are chamazulene (8‑14 %) and L-bisabolol (10‑18 %).
