Description
Dymorphotheca AMBER – a compact plant 20–35 cm tall, which is easy to grow both in open ground and in pots or boxes. Seeds are sown in April–early May at a depth of 1–1.5 cm with soil compaction; with proper care, the plant sprouts quickly and begins to bloom in June. Flowers have a bright yellow–orange shade, a diameter of 3–4 cm, and form large inflorescences resembling decorative gerberas. The flowering period lasts from June to September; to extend the period, faded buds can be removed.
AMBER is perfect for flower beds, window boxes, or rockeries. The plant prefers sunny spots but can also grow in partial shade; moderate watering and regular removal of dry shoots promote healthy growth and denser flowering. Dymorphotheca is resistant to diseases, though it is sometimes susceptible to pests such as aphids and mealybugs.
The variety is undemanding: it does not require frequent care, but if desired, light pruning can be done to maintain shape. Thanks to its bright colors and long flowering period, AMBER is an excellent choice for both decorative landscape design and decorating home pots.
