Ammophos produced by OJSC "Amofos" (Uzbekistan) is a concentrated nitrogen-phosphorus fertilizer where the key component is a high proportion of water-soluble phosphorus (46–52%). Unlike many complex compounds, monoammonium phosphate is characterized by nearly complete availability of phosphorus to the plant root system immediately upon application. The nitrogen content in the ammonium form (10–12%) provides sustained nutrient release, which is not as easily leached from the soil as nitrate forms.
