A concentrated source of highly available phosphorus for quick crop start and powerful root system development.
Description
Chemical Profile and Agronomic Efficiency
Ammophos produced by OJSC "Amofos" (Uzbekistan) is a concentrated nitrogen-phosphorus fertilizer where the key component is a high proportion of water-soluble phosphorus (46–52%). Unlike many complex compounds, monoammonium phosphate is characterized by nearly complete availability of phosphorus to the plant root system immediately upon application. The nitrogen content in the ammonium form (10–12%) provides sustained nutrient release, which is not as easily leached from the soil as nitrate forms.
Why this composition is critical for development
- Root System Development: The high concentration of phosphorus stimulates primary root growth, which is vital for corn and winter cereals during early growth stages.
- Metabolic Activity: Phosphorus is a key component of ATP, the plant's energy "currency." Sufficient availability accelerates maturation and increases resistance to lodging.
- Nutrient Balance: The nitrogen-phosphorus synergy is effective: ammonium nitrogen promotes better phosphorus uptake, making this product an ideal solution for primary application during pre-sowing cultivation.
Practical Application and Physical Properties
The fertilizer comes in granular form, ensuring uniform distribution when applied by seed drills or spreaders. The granules possess high structural integrity and flowability, preventing dust formation and caking during storage. Classified under hazard class 4, the product is safe to handle under standard conditions, which streamlines logistics and field operations. It is optimally suited for intensive farming of vegetable, technical, and grain crops, where establishing high yield potential at the beginning of the growth cycle is critical.
