The success of row crops like maize, sunflower, or sugar beet begins at germination. "Physiostart," produced by the French company Timac Agro S.A.S. (Kemper Guesennec), is engineered as a precision tool to support primary root development when seedlings cannot yet access deep soil nutrients.

Chemical Architecture of the Granule

The effectiveness of this fertilizer lies in the synergy between macro- and micronutrients. Phosphorus (P2O5 — 25-40%) is provided in a highly available form, instantly triggering seed metabolic energy. This high phosphorus concentration creates a "phosphorus depot" near the seed, forcing the root system to grow actively toward the granule.

• Nitrogen (N — 5-10%): provides the baseline nutrition for vegetative mass formation, preventing nitrogen starvation during emergence.
• Zinc (Zn): acts as a hormonal catalyst. It is critical for the synthesis of auxins, which control root growth. Without zinc, the development of the plant’s vascular system is compromised at the earliest stage.
• Sulfur (S): optimizes protein metabolism, making seedlings more resilient to cold-weather stress in the early spring.

Practical Application and Efficacy

The product is applied directly into the furrow during sowing, making it highly efficient with a dosage of only 20–25 kg/ha. At this concentration, the granules act locally, creating a "comfort zone" for the seed. The physical structure of the granules is designed for stability; they do not produce dust in seeder hoppers and ensure even distribution within the soil horizon.

Using "Physiostart" eliminates the risk of nutrient lockout in cold or damp soil—a common drawback for standard fertilizers, overcome here by a specialized formulation that ensures nutrient mobility.
