A reliable blend of nitrogen and sulfur that gives plants a powerful start and ensures efficient nutrient absorption.
Description
Why Saletrosan has become a field standard
Working with various types of nitrogen fertilizers, you quickly realize the difference between "just feeding" and a tool for true yield management. Saletrosan from Grupa Azoty is a case where the fertilizer acts predictably. In the conditions of an unstable spring, when the soil is often waterlogged or too dry, it is vital that the nitrogen does not escape into the atmosphere, and the sulfur forces the plant to absorb this nitrogen.
The absorption secret: Nitrogen + Sulfur link
The main advantage of the composition is the combination of two nitrogen forms (ammonium and nitrate) with sulfur. What does this mean in practice?
- Nitrate nitrogen triggers growth instantly, which is critical for early spring fertilization of winter crops (wheat, barley, rapeseed).
- The ammonium part does not wash out as quickly, providing nutrition for a prolonged period.
- Sulfur in the composition is not just a bonus, but an essential element for protein synthesis. Without it, even with an excess of nitrogen, wheat will be "empty," and rapeseed will not gain oil content.
Application and operation comfort
As an operator, I must note the physical properties of the granules. The fertilizer from the Polish manufacturer is characterized by high strength and uniform composition. This is critical when working with a spreader: the granules do not dust, do not break down in the machinery, and are distributed evenly across the entire working width. Unlike conventional ammonium nitrate, Saletrosan is less hygroscopic, so it does not harden in bags if stored under basic warehouse conditions.
We use it on all key crops: from cereals to corn and potatoes. On potatoes, it noticeably improves the marketability of tubers; on rapeseed, it provides a powerful start after winter. Dosage is calculated based on soil analysis, but the fertilizer itself, thanks to its low hazard class (4), does not require specific, complex storage or application protocols. It is a workhorse that simply does its job: providing plants with nutrition exactly when they need it most.
