When dealing with winter wheat or corn, the main headaches are lodging and stress from temperature fluctuations. This season, we started using SILACON from Himagrostep, and the results regarding tissue density are noticeable without lab analysis. The silicon in the formula literally "reinforces" cell walls, making the plants much more resistant to mechanical stress.

Field Application Experience

The product comes in liquid form, which significantly simplifies the filling process for the sprayer. Crucially, its compatibility with other tank mixes is high, meaning we don't have to increase the number of passes through the field. Per the protocol, we perform up to two applications during the growing season—this is sufficient to achieve a pronounced effect without wasted time. While the application rate requires careful logistics, the payoff in grain quality and yield preservation makes it worth the effort.
