EXPROPROMT

Field lettuce «EXPROPROMT» is an early-maturing variety that grows quickly and yields harvest in just 25‑30 days after sowing. The leaf rosette is compact in size (diameter 20–30 cm) and about 20 cm high, with a single plant weighing 15–200 g depending on growing conditions. Leaves are rounded at the top, slightly elongated downwards, smooth and green, giving the lettuce a light sweet taste with a nutty aroma.

The variety is distinguished by high yield – up to 1.2 kg/m², as well as a rich nutritional composition: it contains carotene, vitamins of the B group, A and E, iron, organic acids, and mineral salts. Due to this, field lettuce «EXPROPROMT» is considered a useful low-calorie addition to dishes, especially meat ones, as well as an excellent side dish when boiled.

Field lettuce is easy to grow both in open ground and in a greenhouse or even at home. Seeds germinate in 4–7 days at a sowing depth of 0.5–1.5 cm; seedlings appear within 7‑21 days. The plant does not require fertile soil, tolerates shaded areas and moisture well, which makes it an ideal predecessor in crop rotation for loosening the soil. For a constant harvest, sowing is recommended every 3 weeks, from late April to late October.
