The Santechplast starter valve Dn17*8 (KS 17х8R) is engineered as a primary flow control unit for drip irrigation systems. The core of its design focuses on the seal-to-pipe interface. The rubber gasket, made from high-elasticity polymer, is designed to withstand seasonal temperature fluctuations while maintaining a leak-proof seal against the main distribution line. When installed into a 14-16 mm hole, the gasket provides uniform pressure distribution, preventing water loss at the point of entry.

Mechanical specifications and material durability

The valve body is constructed from impact-resistant polymer, specifically treated for UV resistance and tolerance to fertigation chemicals. The internal shut-off mechanism is calibrated for smooth operation, allowing users to precisely regulate water flow to individual sectors. The 17 mm tape locking nut is designed to provide a secure grip without deforming the tube walls, ensuring the drip tape remains fixed even under oscillating pressure conditions.
