Genetic Profile and Phytosanitary Protection

"Zoloto Ampsalidy" (Ampsalida Gold) is the result of selective breeding by the Federal Research Center “Subtropical Scientific Center of the RAS”. The breeder’s primary objective was to develop a compact freesia form optimized for limited soil volumes. The plant's key technical advantage is its inherent genetic resistance to Freesia Mosaic Virus (FMV). In intensive container-grown production environments, where plant density often facilitates rapid pathogen transmission, this trait eliminates the need for aggressive chemical management and mitigates the risk of foliage deformation or petal necrosis, which typically degrade commercial quality.

Morphology and Habit Control

The height range of 40–50 cm is a calculated "engineering" habit for containerized culture: the plant retains structural integrity without the use of staking or growth regulators. With a flower diameter of 6–7 cm, the balance between bloom size and stem rigidity is maintained, preventing lodging during transport or varying lighting conditions.
