Description
Barcampsia (lat. Deschampsia caespitosa) – a low-growing perennial turf grass with upright medium-sized clumps. Light green leaves of medium length and width give the lawn a bright and fresh look even in the shade of low trees. Plants germinate quickly: seeds sprout in 5–7 days, and in spring they are the first to turn green, ensuring early site coverage.
The variety is distinguished by high resistance to various climatic conditions. It withstands waterlogging and insufficient lighting well, while remaining disease-resistant and having good winter hardiness. Due to its dense turf and high trampling resistance, Barcampsia is suitable for sports lawns and areas with high traffic.
For sowing, it is recommended to use 2 kg of seeds per 100 sq. m, while mixing small grains with sand is advisable. Seeds are supplied in eco-friendly packaging made of renewable resources, which can be safely disposed of or reused. Barcampsia can be used as a single variety or in mixtures with red fescue, meadow fescue, and ryegrass, allowing for diverse landscape solutions.
