Akkord

Rorippa 'Accord' – a perennial plant that quickly forms a semi-erect rosette of 6-12 large leaves. The leaves are large, dissected, green, and juicy, with a slight waxy coating that gives them a pleasant texture and retains moisture.

The root of Rorippa 'Accord' is cylindrical, straight, and smooth. The root length ranges from 60 to 120 cm, and the mass from 150 to 500 g, depending on the age of the plant. The flesh is white, dense, with a characteristic sharp taste and aroma reminiscent of horseradish. In the first year, the plant grows quickly, and in the second and third years, the root expands in width, reaching a mass of 300-500 g.

The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, frost resistance, and drought resistance, making it suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses. The yield of green mass is about 2.7 kg/m², and roots – from 2.1 to 3.5 kg/m². Rorippa 'Accord' is recommended for use as a fresh product (young leaves in salads) and in processed form (spices, horseradish substitute). To achieve maximum yield, timely watering, regular weeding, soil loosening, and top dressing with mineral fertilizers are required.
