GALILE

GALILE melon is a mid-early hybrid variety intended for cultivation in plastic greenhouses. The plant begins fruiting 80-85 days after seedling emergence, allowing for a harvest in relatively short time. The fruits are small, weighing from 1.0 to 1.5 kg, have a smooth, round shape and are covered with a fine, tender netting, giving them an attractive appearance. The melon flesh is greenish, tender, thick, and is distinguished by a bright aroma, making it especially delicious and juicy.

For successful cultivation of the hybrid, it is recommended to use seedlings aged 30-35 days, which are planted in plastic greenhouses at the end of May to early June. Plants must be tied to trellises; at a height of up to 50 cm, all side shoots should be removed, and subsequent ones pinched off above 1-3 leaves. Such agrotechnology contributes to the formation of 2-3 fruits on each plant and improves ventilation, reducing the risk of diseases. Irrigation should be moderate, especially during fruiting, to ensure optimal conditions for fruit development.

The GALILE hybrid is characterized by good resistance to powdery mildew and fusarium, which increases its reliability and reduces the need for frequent use of protective agents. Planting density is 3 plants per square meter, which allows for effective use of greenhouse area. Yield in unheated greenhouses reaches 8-10 kg per square meter, making this variety attractive for commercial cultivation and personal households.
