STRELYCHANKA

The Strellychanka melon variety is a mid-early to early-maturing variety that matures on average within 70-85 days after seedling emergence. The plants are compact and powerful, well-adapted to cultivation in various regions, including Southern Russia, Ukraine, and Moldova. The variety is characterized by resistance to heat and sunburn, ensuring a stable yield even under high temperature conditions. The recommended planting density is from 50 to 80 cm between holes, and the sowing depth is 3-4 cm. The best precursors for growing are potatoes, cabbage, and legumes.

The Strellychanka melon fruits have an oval or broadly rounded shape with a smooth or rough surface, covered with a fine or coarse netting. The shell coloration varies from yellow to golden-yellow, sometimes with an orange tint, without a pattern or with pronounced segmentation. The fruit mass ranges from 1.3 to 5 kg, allowing for large and attractive fruits. The shell of medium thickness protects the juicy flesh, which is distinguished by high juiciness, tenderness, and oily texture.

The flesh of the Strellychanka melon is light yellow or white with a greenish tint near the shell, very sweet and aromatic, with a delicate melon scent. The dry matter content ranges from 6.3 to 9.2%, and the total sugar level is from 3.9 to 7.7%, making this variety one of the sweetest and tastiest. Thanks to high taste qualities and good fruit transportability, the Strellychanka melon is ideal for fresh consumption. The variety's yield with irrigation reaches 30-35 tons per hectare, confirming its economic attractiveness for cultivation.
