The sorghum variety Tavriys'ke, developed by LLC NVA "Zemlerobets", is intended for growing food and grain-feed grain, as well as green feed. This mid-early variety belongs to the coxineum type and is recommended for sowing in the Steppe zone. The vegetation period is 96 days, which allows effective use in summer plantings, including after harvest and after grazing plantings, due to its shortened maturity period.
Tavriys'ke is characterized by good resistance to lodging, lodging, and drought, ensuring stable yields under adverse climatic conditions. The yield of this variety ranges from 36.4 to 52.1 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 57.2 centners per hectare. At grain breakage, the grain yield is 76.0%, spread is 18.9%, protein content is 14.4%, and the thousand-grain weight is 8.0 g.
The variety has been included in the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine since 2006 and is recommended for cultivation in the steppe zone.
