• Support and Trellising: The oval-fusiform fruits, reaching 20–25 cm in length, are heavy. Use heavy-duty twine for trellising; flimsy setups will snap under the weight once the fruit matures. Proper airflow through the canopy is critical to preventing fungal outbreaks.
• Hydration Strategy: This cultivar is hypersensitive to moisture fluctuations. If the soil dries out during the rapid growth phase of the 20-25 cm fruits, you will end up with bitter, woody skins. Consistent irrigation is mandatory for high-quality production.
• Harvesting: Timing is everything. Once the fruit crosses the 25 cm mark and starts showing color change, the bitterness spikes significantly. Harvest when the skin is still crisp and light green to maintain culinary quality.

Maintenance and Yield Management

Do not underestimate the nutrient requirements. While it starts strong, it becomes a heavy feeder during the fruit-set stage.
