K 19

Morusalba K 19 is a white mulberry (Morusalba) variety obtained at RGAU-MSHA K.A. Timiryazev and included in the Russian Federation's State Register of Fruit Crops in 2017. The tree is characterized by strong, moderately spreading structure: a straight trunk with grayish-brown bark, shoots of medium length, straight, green, and matte. The leaves are large, ovate, bright green, smooth, without dense pubescence, with blunt short teeth. The fruits are cylindrical, rosy, with an average weight of about 1.2 g, a maximum of 1.5 g, covered with a thin skin and containing about 22.6% sugar. The berries have a sweet taste with a refreshing aroma.

Variety K 19 is distinguished by its universal purpose: it can be used both in garden and commercial conditions. The average yield is about 33.4 c/ha, and the tree reaches a height of up to 10-30 m.
