FOROSSKAIA

The 'Forosskaia' olive variety is the result of work by specialists at V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University (KFU), created taking into account the features of the local climate. It is distinguished by high frost resistance: it can withstand temperatures down to -14 °C, while only the plant tips are damaged, and the leaf apparatus remains intact. This makes the variety particularly valuable for regions with harsh winters.

The 'Forosskaia' olive is characterized by large fruit size and high olive oil content, allowing it to be used both in oil production and in canning. Trees begin to bear fruit from the tenth year, and by the 25-26 years they reach maturity, ensuring a stable yield.

The variety is part of the group of three new olive varieties - 'Forosskaia', 'Crimean Spring', and 'Tavrika'. It is grown at a breeding site where there is already experience of successful cultivation. Thanks to the combination of frost resistance, high fruit quality, and ease of care, 'Forosskaia' becomes the preferred choice for those looking for a reliable source of olives with excellent taste characteristics.
