OTRADO-KUBANSKY

The 'Otrado-Kubansky' peanut variety is a medium-late maturing variety with an erect plant and medium branching. The plant has large green leaves, and flowering occurs alternately. The pods have a cocoon-like shape with a noticeable protrusion of the straight beak, and the seeds are large, pink, and cylindrical. The seed dormancy period is short, which promotes rapid germination. The variety is characterized by resistance to wireworm damage, which enhances its reliability during cultivation.

Otrado-Kubansky is included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements of the Russian Federation and is recommended for cultivation in various regions of the country, including the Northern, Northwestern, Central, Volga-Vyatka, Central-Black Earth, North Caucasian, Middle-Volga, Lower-Volga, Ural, Western Siberian, Eastern Siberian, and Far Eastern regions. The vegetative period of the variety is about 126 days from emergence to maturity.

The seed yield of the Otrado-Kubansky variety reaches 23-27.5 centners per hectare. The mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 877 to 900 grams. The fat content in absolutely dry seeds is about 54.3-55.7%, and protein is 22.2-24.2%, making this variety valuable for the food industry. The variety is suitable for mechanized harvesting and is characterized by good resistance to diseases and pests, which facilitates its cultivation and increases economic efficiency.
