Korifei

Paeonia 'Corifei' is a herbaceous hybrid created through interspecific hybridization of P. lactiflora 'President Taft' and P. officinalis. This variety is distinguished by its high decorative value and long flowering period, making it an excellent choice for garden cultivation as well as cut flowers. The plant prefers sunny planting locations, which promote vigorous growth and abundant flowering.

The flowers of Paeonia 'Corifei' are double, rose-like, with a diameter of about 16-20 cm. Their deep burgundy color changes to dark raspberry as they age, adding additional attractiveness to the plant. The flowers have a complex structure and a pleasant, delicate sweet fragrance. The flowering period is early, and the bloom is prolonged, allowing one to enjoy the beauty of the plant for an extended time.

The bushes of Paeonia reach a height of 80 to 100 cm, have an elegant form with strong, thick stems. The leaves are silver-green with broad lobes, which harmoniously complements the overall decorative appearance of the plant. This variety was developed in Ukraine in 2003 by breeder V.F. Horobtsov and is suitable for cultivation in USDA zones 3-8.
