MUSTAY KARYM

Peony Mustay Karym (Paeonia lactiflora) is a decorative plant with a bush up to 85 centimeters high, covered with rich green, glossy leaves. Stems are upright, of medium strength, reach a length of about 85 centimeters and bear no more than two large double spherical flowers with a diameter of up to 16 centimeters. Petals have a rounded shape with a scalloped edge, dyed in a uniform pink-lilac shade that fades slightly in the sun. Blooming lasts about 10–14 days, starting from mid-June, which makes the variety medium-early and attractive for a long decorative effect. Peony flowers have a pleasant, though not too strong aroma. Inner petals have an elliptical shape, while outer ones are rounded. Filaments and anthers are dyed yellow, pistils are developed normally, and stigmas are pink. The plant is characterized by high decorativeness and resistance to diseases, pests and unfavorable weather conditions, which makes it a reliable choice for growing in the central region of Russia. Peony Mustay Karym is also suitable for cutting, which allows its flowers to be used in bouquets and floral compositions. The peony bush is dense, medium-foliaged with thin stems that are recommended to be tied to a support to prevent lodging. The plant requires moderate soil moisture for optimal growth and blooming. Thanks to its decorativeness and resistance, the Mustay Karym variety is suitable for greening gardens and flowerbeds, as well as for creating striking floral compositions. Fruiting is also noted for this variety, which adds additional value to horticulture.
