Description
The 'Fayerverk' strawberry variety features a powerful, upright bush with a spherical shape and medium foliage. The leaves are dark green with a glossy sheen, flat, and egg-shaped. The flowers are bisexual, large, and white, located on thick peduncles that are below the level of the leaves. The runners are of medium length, green, and form in moderate quantities, which promotes active plant reproduction. This variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew, verticillium wilt, as well as brown and white blotch, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions. 'Fayerverk' strawberry berries have a correct conical shape with a short neck and a large calyx. The fruit skin is dark red, glossy, and acquires a rich dark burgundy hue upon full ripening. The flesh is dense, dark red with white veins, possessing a sour-sweet taste and a bright strawberry aroma. The taste of the berries fully opens up only upon full ripening; before that, the fruits may seem tasteless or too sour. The average berry weight varies from 15 to 30 grams, and the yield from one bush over two weeks is approximately 450-700 grams. The fruits withstand transportation well and can be stored for about three days at room temperature without losing taste qualities and appearance. The 'Fayerverk' variety is versatile in application: the berries are suitable both for fresh consumption and for canning. Ripening is medium, and harvest collection is possible from the end of June to mid-July. Due to high yield, resistance to unfavorable conditions, and excellent transportability, this variety is a promising option for gardeners and commercial cultivation. Despite the fact that 'Fayerverk' has not yet gained widespread distribution, it is capable of competing with popular strawberry varieties, especially under Russian climate conditions.
