Asana soybean variety is a medium-early indeterminate type, distinguished by high yield and stable productivity. Plants reach a height of 80 to 100 cm, have an intermediate form with gray stem hairs and purple flowers. Leaves are medium-sized, lanceolate, green. Lower pods are located at a height of 14 to 19.5 cm. Seeds are small, elongated-oval in shape, yellow with a yellow hilum, characteristic of this variety. Asana is well-adapted to Central Chernozem and Middle Volga regions and is included in the State Register of Varieties. The variety is resistant to lodging and shattering, responds well to irrigation, which contributes to stable and high yields. Average yield is about 15.8 c/ha, while in favorable years it can reach 28-29 c/ha. According to the developer, the yield potential reaches 4.0 t/ha. Asana soybean is widely used for producing biodiesel and animal feed due to the high protein and fat content in the seeds. Protein content reaches 32.1-39%, and fat content — 22.9-29%, making this variety valuable for agricultural production. High product quality and genetic stability ensure its popularity among farmers and soybean producers.
