SPUTNIK — an early-maturing spinach hybrid with a period from germination to harvest of 28–30 days. The plant is characterized by a medium-sized vertical leaf rosette 17-20 cm high with large, dense leaves of dark green color in an elongated oval shape. The leaves are flat, triangular in shape, moderately pinnate, and juicy, making this variety attractive for fresh consumption and use in various salads and home cooking. The mass of one plant is about 11 g, and the yield reaches up to 3.0 kg per square meter.

The Sputnik hybrid is distinguished by high resistance to downy mildew (Peronospora farinosa), which significantly increases its reliability when grown in open ground. The plant has late bolting, which allows it to be used for both spring and summer sowing. Thanks to the upright habit of the leaf rosette, harvest can be gathered mechanically or manually with minimal losses. This hybrid is also suitable for baby leaf technology, allowing young leaves to be grown with necessary seeding thickening.

SPUTNIK is recommended for growing in garden-plot conditions and is suitable for fresh consumption, freezing, and processing.
