Description
Sunflower seeds Apisol are a simple hybrid intended for classical cultivation techniques in the forest-steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine. This mid-early hybrid has a vegetation period of 108-112 days and plant height ranging from 150 to 170 cm with adequate nutrition. Its root system is deep, penetrating up to 2.5 meters, which contributes to drought resistance and enables the plant to effectively utilize moisture from deep soil layers.
The Apisol hybrid features high yield potential — up to 55 centners per hectare, with oil content in seeds reaching 50-53%. Its oil content is 50-53%. The moisture content is 20-22%, which facilitates processing. The 1000-seed mass varies from 55 to 70 grams, indicating seed size and quality.
Special attention has been given to the hybrid's resistance to various diseases and pests. Apisol exhibits high drought resistance (rating 9 out of 10), resistance to lodging and shattering, as well as to major sunflower diseases: false powdery mildew, rust, Phomopsis, Phomosis, Alternaria, and sunflower rust. Additionally, the hybrid is resistant to charcoal rot, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under challenging agroclimatic conditions. The recommended planting density at harvest time ranges from 45,000 to 60,000 plants per hectare, depending on the region.
