Description
Sunflower Azimut — this is an early-maturing hybrid of the new generation, characterized by high initial growth energy and stable yield under various climatic conditions, including drought-prone areas. The vegetation period is 104-109 days, allowing for harvest at optimal times. Plants reach a height of 170-180 cm, have a flower head diameter of 18-21 cm, and a seed thousand weight of 65-70 g. Oil content in seeds is 49-51%, making the hybrid high-oil and attractive for oil production.
Hybrid Azimut exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including Phomopsis, sclerotinia, powdery mildew, and races A-G of downy mildew. In addition, it is tolerant to the herbicide Express FMC and tribenuron-methyl, enabling effective weed control during cultivation. The maximum allowable single application rate of herbicide is 50 g. Thanks to these characteristics, the hybrid is suitable for modern cultivation technologies such as No-till and Mini-till.
Recommended planting density is 55-60 thousand plants per hectare in forest-steppe regions and 50-55 thousand per hectare in steppe regions. The hybrid shows good development and large vegetative mass, contributing to high yields — from 45 to 52 centners per hectare. Azimut is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain a stable and high-quality sunflower crop on various soil types and in different climatic zones.
