BELOCHKA

Sunflower variety «Belочка» is an early-maturing, confectionery-type intensive variety developed by multiple selection of the most early-maturing biotypes. It features uniformity in plant height, flowering, and ripening periods, ensuring synchronized flowering and seed maturation even under adverse weather conditions. Plant height ranges from 170 to 185 cm, and flower head diameter varies between 21-30 cm. Seeds are oval-shaped, black with longitudinal dark-gray stripes, and are large in size, with 1000 seeds weighing 145-150 grams when optimal plant density is maintained.

Variety «Belочка» exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including false powdery mildew, phomopsis, fusarium, and dry rot, as well as genetic resistance to sunflower moth and seven main races of aphids. Due to these traits, the variety is suitable for cultivation throughout Ukraine and is recommended for all sunflower cultivation zones. It shows high tolerance to diseases and maintains high yields even under adverse conditions.

Optimal plant density is 25-30 thousand per hectare, which contributes to achieving maximum seed yield. Oil content in seeds ranges from 46-53%, making the variety attractive for the confectionery industry. Vegetation period is 84-90 days, enabling its use in regions with short growing seasons. Thanks to its characteristics, «Belочка» is a reliable and high-yielding choice for cultivating confectionery-type sunflower.
