Description
The hybrid sunflower Camaro II is a mid-early linoleic variety with a vegetative period of 100-108 days, developed by the breeding company Nuseed (USA) using Clearfield technology adapted for EuroLight. Plants reach a height of 170-180 cm and possess a strong, highly branched root system that ensures vegetative stability even under drought conditions. Seeds are black in color, with 150,000 seeds per bag. The hybrid exhibits high plasticity and stress resistance, being adaptable to growing conditions, which allows for stable and high yields.
Camaro II is characterized by high yield potential, reaching 5.4-5.5 t/ha, with oil content in mature seeds ranging from 49 to 53%, making it attractive for oil production. The plant forms medium-sized heads with good seed filling, reaching 100% under favorable conditions. The medium-thick stem has maximum resistance to lodging and shattering, contributing to yield retention. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to diseases, including false powdery mildew, fusarium, fusarium wilt, as well as white and gray mold.
Sowing of the hybrid is recommended at optimal times on prepared soil using traditional technology. Seedlings develop actively due to strong initial growth energy. Camaro II is highly resistant to drought and cold, enabling successful cultivation under various climatic conditions. Seed treatment with fungicide and growth stimulator is recommended. The hybrid is suitable for EuroLight herbicide application technology, simplifying crop management and increasing production efficiency.
